Easter

Great day with family and reflecting on our Savior's gift. One of my favorite passages in the New Testament is when two of the disciples are traveling to Emmaus following Christ's resurrection and Jesus joins them, but their eyes were holden that they did not know him.  Toward the end of their journey they ask the Savior to tarry with them, still not knowing who he is.

29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our aheart bburn within us, while he ctalked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

I at times worry that if I lived and walked with Jesus that I would have doubted the resurrection as I tend to be a cynic, and that sometimes the tangible (actually knowing the Savior) is harder to believe than the intangible (having faith in someone who has always been presented as God).

Then I read these words and remember that whether you walk with Jesus or not, the spirit will testify of his divinity if you are willing to listen and obey.  This always brings me comfort.  What a generous Heavenly Father.

Happy Easter!
