Soo-weer and Other Stuff

I can't remember if I've mentioned this before or not, but one of Blaire's "isms" is she will finish a statement with something that sounds like "soo-weer."  "I want some cereal, soo-weer."  "I drew a picture, soo-weer."

We took the girls on a hike a couple of weeks ago, Ireland's first.  We were told it was a mile each way and at the top was a "waterfall."  LA waterfall= small trickle of water with a few small puddles.  It was a lot of fun, and nice to get out.  Both girls fell asleep at one point or another.  A real problem since Blaire wasn't in a pack.

Love those girls.

That Moose is Doing What?

Blaire has a book about a mouse that is making valentines for all his friends.  One of the friends is a moose that loves to paint.  For some reason, every time she sees the picture she says "the moose is pooping."  Not sure why...

Four and Five

Month Four
Ireland is awesome!  Doesn't sleep through the night, but awesome.  She is such a relaxed baby... for the most part.  She hates riding in the car, but otherwise is quite content to be carried around wherever, or lie on her back and bat around some toys.  She started rolling to her side, mostly I think to get better leverage on her thumb, but hasn't quite figured out how to roll all the way over.

She just keeps growing, which makes us happy and sad.  We obviously wouldn't mind if she was more self sufficient, and it's fun to see her learn, but it's hard to watch your baby grow up.  Love that toothless smile.

She loves to go to the park with her big sister and laughs when she sees Blaire swinging.  She must be held upright, facing outward, or else!  She got her first cold this month, but dealt with it like a champ.

Month Five
"I" hit five months this week.  I can't help but wonder where the time goes.  I'm going to deem this the month of the grunt.  She constantly grunts wherever we are, whatever we are doing.  Makes watching TV very difficult, which I guess is OK since we should probably be doing something other than watching TV when we are hanging out.

She is very aware of all that is going on around her.  Loves her sister and laughs whenever Blaire laughs.  Ally has nick-named her "Ham."  Both because she is funny, and because she is medium husky.  She is starting to jabber quite a bit.  Her favorite right now seems to be this cross between the "B" sound and a hum.

She celebrated her first holiday season and we made beautiful memories.  She saw snow and bitter cold during our trip to Utah and developed a case of RSV.  We were all so thankful she handled it so well.  What a good baby we have.

Blaire-isms

We were walking around the mall during the holidays and she went into the Bose store where there was a microphone set up.  She walked up to it and began singing "Happy Birthday," and when it came to the part where you say who your singing to, she said "happy birthday, dear Jesus."  She is really getting into the spirit of the season.

Other favorite sayings:

I love you so much! (usually as you are walking out the door)
Daddy, did you have a good day at work?
I'm a princess!
I'm ok (after she purposely falls down)
It's really beautiful.
I got it.
I watch a show?
